Cold rolled coils

Production Tehnology

Produced by cold rolling technology (rolling in a cold condition) in 1-7 passes down to the requested strip gauge on 4-high mills.

Rolling oils (oil derivative with special additives) are used as cooling and lubricating agents.

When engraved rolls with specific patterns are introduced into the roll stack, tread coils are obtained instead of smooth cold rolled coils.

After cold rolling operation, coils are forwarded to one or more additional operations: annealing, trimming, slitting, degreasing, tension leveling (stretching), leveling, embossing, coil coating, roll forming and cut to length.The number of operation(s) depends on delivery requirements.

Cold rolled coils may be produced out of 1xxx, 3xxx, 5xxx and 8xxx series alloys, while product quality is reached based on customers’ demands, according to tables referring to alloys and tempers..
